Terms of Use

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and INFOXERA FZE, Block B-B47-069, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates ("we", "us"), covering your use of the Ours: Couple Budget Tracker app ("Ours" or "the app") and oursforcouples.com. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Ours.

2. Apple's standard EULA

The app is licensed to you, not sold, under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"), which applies together with these Terms. If there is a conflict between the two, these Terms apply to the extent permitted by the Standard EULA. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it.

3. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account.
  • You sign in with Apple or with a one-time code sent to your email. Keep your device and email account secure, because anyone with access to them may be able to access your account.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for activity under your account.

4. Shared spaces and partners

  • Each user has a private Personal space. You can create a shared Ours space and invite one partner using an invite code.
  • Anything you add to a shared space can be seen, edited and deleted by your partner. Only invite someone you trust.
  • If either partner leaves or deletes their account, the shared space and its contents remain with the other partner, as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • Balances, splits and "who owes whom" figures are calculated from the entries you both make. Ours does not move money between you and is not a party to any arrangement between partners.

5. Subscriptions and free trial

  • Plans: Ours requires a subscription. It is offered monthly ($9.99) or yearly ($49.99), or the equivalent in your local currency as shown in the App Store. Prices may vary by country and may change, and any change will be shown before you are charged.
  • One subscription per household: one active subscription covers both partners in a shared space. Your partner joins at no extra cost using your invite code. If the subscriber's subscription ends, premium access ends for both partners.
  • Free trial: new subscribers get a 7-day free trial. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, your subscription starts automatically and you will be charged for the plan you chose.
  • Auto-renewal: payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase (or when the trial ends). Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Cancelling: manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings (Settings › your name › Subscriptions). Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel your subscription.
  • Refunds: all purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's refund policy. We cannot issue refunds directly. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
  • Restoring: if you change devices, use "Restore purchases" in the app while signed in with the same Apple ID.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use Ours for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harmful, including money laundering or tracking another person without their consent;
  • invite or add someone to a shared space without their agreement, or use the app to harass, monitor or control another person;
  • upload content that is illegal, infringing, or that you do not have the right to share;
  • try to access other users' data, probe or disrupt our systems, or reverse engineer the app except where the law allows it;
  • resell, sublicense or share subscription access outside your household.

7. Your content

You own the information and receipt photos you put into Ours. You give us a limited licence to store, process and display that content only as needed to run the app for you and your partner. You are responsible for making sure your content is accurate and that you have the right to share it.

8. Not financial advice

Ours is a tool for organising and tracking money you and your partner spend and save. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, accounting or legal advice. Currency conversions use third-party exchange rates that may be delayed or differ from the rate your bank applies. Calculations depend on the data you enter. Please check important figures yourself and speak to a qualified professional before making financial decisions.

9. Our intellectual property

The app, the Ours name and logo, the design, and all related software and content (other than your content) belong to INFOXERA FZE or its licensors and are protected by law. These Terms do not give you any rights to them except the right to use the app as described here.

10. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ours is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost. Please keep your own records of anything important.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, INFOXERA FZE will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, savings, data or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use Ours, or from any financial decision or arrangement between you and your partner. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for Ours in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

12. Termination

You can stop using Ours and delete your account at any time in Settings › Delete account. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the app, in which case we will try to give you reasonable notice. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as your content, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law) survive termination.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Sharjah. The courts of Sharjah have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, unless the mandatory consumer laws of your country give you the right to bring a claim in your local courts. Before starting any formal claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version here with a new effective date and, for significant changes, let you know in the app. If you keep using Ours after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
